RISIV first partnership meeting in Marseille

On November 23rd and 24th, the consortium met in Marseille for its second transnational project meeting (TPM). The TPM, which was the first opportunity to get to know each other in person after the online meeting that took place last July, created scope to consolidate the foundations of our collaboration, to share new ideas, and much more. In particular, the first day was largely focused on the presentations by each partner, detailing the currentstate of play of the first intellectual output (IO1): the RISIV pedagogy roadmap. The latter, which aims at enhancing our understanding of national practices and methodologies that youth workers adopt when putting into place SIPs with young people, will take the form of a European report which will then serve as a solid and theoretically sound basis for the development of the curriculum for youth workers (IO2). Concepts like non-formal learning, co-production, transformative and tangible results, synergy and more, represented key components around which the discussion gravitated, and are today at the core of our work. After a final presentation regarding the dissemination strategy of the project, its well-established visual identity, and the launching of the RISIV website in all partners’ languages, the partnership closed the day taking a group photo with a beautiful view over the Vieux Port of Marseille. The second day of the meeting, instead, focussed on the evaluation and quality assurance strategy, as well as the managerial and administrative aspects of the project. In addition, partners discussed the initial steps for the organisation of the two RISIV transnational training events, the first for professionals and the second for young people, which will take place next summer, in Spain and Portugal respectively. The next meeting will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus, in April 2022. Whilst there is still a long way to go in our RISIV project, the sincere and enthusiastic commitment that each organisation has shown during this meeting makes us look forward to working on it together as a partnership.
